Quacktum Entanglement post-jam update! (and game announcement, kinda :p)

The rating period is finally over and final results have been revealed. Congratulations to the winners and everyone who managed to create and submit a game during this one week period!

I'm really amazed by the amout of positive feedback I've received and incredibly high ratings Quacktum Entanglement got. With this in mind, I have two announcements to make:

Post-jam update
I've fixed and improved several things I didn't manage to do (or haven't thought of) during the jam. Updated version (both webgl and standalone) is already uploaded to the itch, so make sure to check it out! Especially if you found a way to cheese levels 2.6 or 2.7 :). Full changelog available at the end of the devlog.

Future game?
The main idea and mechanics of the Quacktum Entanglement turned out to be very promising, which made me think that it would be cool to turn them into a full-fledged, high quality game! That's exactly what I'm currently considering - trying to figure out how this game could work on much bigger scale, discussing it with my fellow dev-friends, searching for more teammembers (especially artists :p), etc.
Not everything is 100% certain yet, but it's likely you will hear a new game announcement in the near future :)

Huge thanks to everyone who took time to play and rate my game during the jam - it really means a lot! Make sure to follow me on itch.io for future updates and announcements regarding this and any future games!
Have a nice day, and see you all at Ludum Dare 47 :)

Post-jam changelog:

  • Remade levels 2.6 and 2.7, so that they cannot be cheesed so easily now :)
  • The skip forward / rewind is faster if you hold the arrow key for long enough
  • Changed color of the second minion
  • Minor visual changes to the level environments
  • Fixed standalone blurry icon
